Gregory W. Butler, R.P.T.
About Me |
I have been working as a Registered Piano Technician in the Washington D.C. area for over 30 years. I began this career under the direction of my brother, Rick Butler,RPT, and the association of many within the Piano Technicians Guild. In 1977, I took employment with Jordan Kitts Music, working as one of their Piano Technicians. In late 1978, I began working independently, and have continued to do so full-time since then. |

A
highlight of my career has included concert preparation at local venues
such as The Kennedy Center, and the Jewish Community Center of Greater
Washington, The White House, and others, and have therefore tuned for
some of the greatest pianist. These include, George Duke, Herbie Hancock,
Chucho Valdes, Chick Correa, Billy Taylor, Brian Ganz, John Eaton, and
many others. I am proud to continue to work with local community piano
and voice teachers, and many of their students. I also very much enjoy
tuning and caring for the private home piano, where greatness often
has its start, or at least the greatness of piano music fills the home. |
